About the LC Project |
Post
VAT and the reduction of CST, corporates are targeting
cost-effective solutions by leveraging logistics and
distribution networks. Thus, the future lies in a few
well-planned distribution centers in each region of
the country rather than a number of depots scattered
in each state. The focus at our LC projects in North
India will be on quality, standardization, and inventory
turn around time. This will result in supply chain networks
designed on logistic efficiencies rather than those
rooted in artificially created tax barriers, and having
non-standard and poor infrastructure, resulting in inefficient
operation.
MJ has envisioned the creation and operation
of 3 state-of-the-art, multi-user Logistics Centers
to cater to the needs of customers in this new environment.
The LCs are being set up at a project cost of USD 50 million, and will operate in North India in the 'hub and spoke' model. This will create nearly 1 million sq ft of both dry and cold warehousing space. |
